Job description

Summary


Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support within the firm. Direct visitors and handle inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supply information regarding the company to the general public, clients and customers. Word processing and writing skills in the engineering field would be preferred. Candidate needs to be self-motivated and able to work in a time-oriented manner. This position requires punctuality and reliability, someone who will require limited direction and can work independently.


Responsibilities


  • Answer telephone, screen, and direct calls
  • Provide information to callers
  • Greet persons entering offices & direct persons to their correct point of contact
  • General administrative and clerical support
  • Administrative support and work with department staff
  • Compose memos, letters, and communications with little or no guidance
  • Proofread documents for formatting, grammar, content, and accuracy
  • Maintain communication with staff for their support needs
  • Provide backup coverage for other members of the administrative group
  • Processing submittals and RFIs
  • Provide service with a positive attitude. Focus on taking responsibility and delivering solutions
  • Modify and change project documents
  • Compose and produce correspondence and presentation materials
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings

 

Education and Experience


  • Some College preferred, High School Diploma Required
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience

  • Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to take initiative, be assertive and confident as well as take direction
