Job Description
Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking to support sophisticated real estate transactions in a collaborative law firm environment? We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a busy legal team supporting attorneys and paralegals on a variety of commercial real estate matters.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in providing exceptional support throughout the lifecycle of complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, revise, and maintain organizational and transactional documents
  • Create and manage closing checklists and transaction timelines
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with real estate deal closings
  • Coordinate collection and distribution of signature pages and executed documents
  • Prepare and organize closing books and post-closing documentation
  • Track critical transaction deadlines and closing dates
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and other transaction parties
  • Maintain electronic client files and organizational records
  • Form business entities and obtain required state and federal certificates and filings
  • Monitor attorney inboxes and assist with matter management
  • Process client invoices and attorney reimbursements
  • Perform document comparisons and quality-control reviews
  • Support additional projects and administrative initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Required
  • 2+ years of legal assistant, executive assistant, administrative assistant, or related professional support experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong proofreading and document-editing skills
  • Professional demeanor and client-service mindset
Preferred
  • Experience as a Legal Assistant within a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions
  • Knowledge of closing processes and transactional documentation
  • Experience with legal document management systems
  • Familiarity with iManage, Intapp, or other legal software platforms
