Job description
In coordination with the Senior Superintendent, Project Management Team, and Trade Partners, the Project Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field execution of assigned scopes of work, with a primary focus on parking structure, tilt-up, and heavy concrete operations. This role ensures all work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents, while maintaining direct reporting with the Senior Superintendent and the General Superintendent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Lead daily field operations for cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned parking structures, tilt-up panels, and structural systems.
• Maintain strong field presence ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved submittals.
• Coordinate with design build contractor on concrete placements, sequencing, logistics, and access.
• Identify constructability issues and collaborate on solutions.
• Coordinate daily and weekly work plans, and report daily progress and issues to the Senior Superintendent.
• Support look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.
• Enforce safety, schedule, quality, and scope compliance, and resolve issues promptly.
• Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Lead safety meetings and stop unsafe work immediately.
• Ensure compliance with inspection and testing plans.
• Monitor reinforcing, embeds, post-tensioning, and finishes.
• Assist with field reports and documentation.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Strong understanding of structural drawings, sequencing, and means and methods.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Familiarity with Nevada construction market and inspections preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar field tools preferred.
• Cooperate with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.
• Effectively communicate with coworkers and business partners.
• Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
• Must have the following skills: coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
• This is a full-time, onsite field position where extended hours may be required during major concrete placements or critical schedule phases.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Must have 7-10+ years of superintendent or field supervision experience.
• Direct experience with parking structures, tilt-up construction, and heavy structural concrete required.
• Proven leadership of crews and subcontractors on large-scale projects required.
• Resort, or large multi-level structure experience preferred.
• Experience working under an Owner's Representative preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
• Must be able to maintain valid driver's license.
• OSHA 30 certificate required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, frequently crouching, kneeling, and occasionally sitting, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 20lbs or less occasionally.
• Dependent on the shift the team member will be occasionally driving cars or golf carts.
• The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet, both hands and require frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work performed in an active construction environment, both indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact and communication with others on extended shifts around computer equipment, mechanical devices, and construction equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud or quiet at times.
• Team Member may be exposed to confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust, flame/heat generated devices, moving objects, high places, uneven surfaces, and/or slippery surfaces.
