Assistant Project Manager, Renewables Division

Westwood Professional Services, Inc.


The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to an experienced project manager on complex and/or multi-service projects. They will also be responsible for project management of small and/or single-service projects and support a service lead on small and/or single-service projects. The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in stakeholder relationships, team management, project planning and monitoring, oversight of project work and deliverables, managing uncertainty and change, and timely invoicing and AR collection.

Requirements

  • Support the overall project manager or take full accountability for small/single-service projects.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee project work to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project health and take corrective action as needed.
  • Manage uncertainty and change, including scope creep and change orders.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and collection of accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of proposals for single- and multi-service projects.
  • Collaborate with service leadership and client managers in reviewing proposal and pricing strategy.
  • Manage the contracting process, including term negotiation led by others.
  • Facilitate project meetings and distribute minutes and action logs.
  • Represent the organization in communications related to assigned projects.


Contacts / Direction:

  • Assigned projects and tasks by a Project Manager or Client Manager.
  • May receive guidance for correcting project performance concerns.
  • Receive frequent guidance related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
  • Receive supervision and guidance on unusual conditions and developments.
  • Independent management and prioritization of tasks and projects required.
  • Close collaboration with project managers, project teams, and project assistants, and division administrative coordinator.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
