Job description

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assist project manager to ensure proper timelines and all requirements are met for all projects.
  • Help with billing, change orders, collections, etc. to ensure timely completion.
  • Keep the management staff up to date on all project issues.
  • Review job cost, job status, manpower and change order reports to provide analysis on a monthly basis with project manager/project management team.
  • Attend regular/monthly job cost reviews to accurately reflect project profitability and status of all project issues.
  • Communicate and troubleshoot with project manager, project superintendents, construction managers and General Contractors.
  • Communicate effectively with all project managers, administrative assistants and other departments through meetings, memos, e-mails, etc.

• Assist with coordination proper manpower and equipment for each job.
  • Conduct/attend weekly job-site visits and job meetings.
  • Assist with proper job setup and contract review. Help to ensure that estimated costs and schedule of values are done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generate project manager reports and attend project management meetings as appropriate.
  • For each project: track submittals, generate purchase orders and negotiate subcontracts and purchases.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience/Qualifications Required:
o Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Industry experience and/or related educational background.
o Prior project management experience a plus.
• Job Skills:
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
o Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation.
o Good math ability and general accounting skills.
o General computer skills.
o Detail oriented.
o Strong organizational skills.
o General accounting skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Education:
o Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
o Trade school a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
o Able to walk job sites.
o Capable of climbing off/on equipment and ladders.
• Special Requirements:
• Valid Driver's License
• OSHA 10 Certified
