NOW HIRING: Project Estimator (Commercial Construction)


5+ Years of Commercial Construction Experience Required

CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. We're looking for experienced professionals who want to build their careers with a company that values safety, quality, teamwork, and professionalism.

Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama, with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee.

We are seeking a candidate with 5 or more years of experience in commercial construction. While previous estimating experience is preferred, we are willing to teach estimating and earthwork to the right individual with a strong commercial construction background.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
  • Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans and specifications
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with project pricing
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Develop bid proposals and project budgets
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and company leadership throughout the bidding process
  • Maintain organized estimating files and documentation
  • Assist with value engineering and budgeting during preconstruction

Qualifications
