About the Role:
Project Engineers at O'Brien Construction work alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators to support the successful execution of construction projects, from pre-construction through final completion and close-out. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer ready to take ownership of project details and contribute to work that is delivered on time, on budget, and built to a high standard. This role will support an upcoming ground-up project in Centerville, OH with additional work to follow across the state of Ohio.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and plans.
  • Manage document control, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely material deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist with estimating extra work, preparing correspondence, and expediting project tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in the Job Rotation Program to gain valuable experience in various construction disciplines (Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Estimator, Assistant Project Manager).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
