Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale multi-family and mixed-use construction projects in the Philadelphia area. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed beyond a traditional Project Engineer seat and is ready to take on greater ownership across project coordination, financial tracking, subcontractor management, client communication, and overall project execution.


The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting ground-up construction projects, preferably within multi-family, mixed-use, residential, or other large commercial sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and senior leadership in the day-to-day management of multi-family and mixed-use construction projects
  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, project documentation, and closeout items
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination, buyout, scope review, procurement, and issue resolution
  • Track project budgets, cost reports, commitments, change events, and schedule updates
  • Coordinate closely with field teams to help identify project risks, resolve issues, and maintain progress
  • Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
  • Help ensure project quality, safety, schedule, and budget expectations are being met
  • Build strong relationships with project stakeholders while continuing to grow into a full Project Manager role


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of construction experience with a GC/CM, ideally in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager capacity
  • Prior experience supporting multi-family, mixed-use, residential, hospitality, or large-scale commercial projects
  • Ground-up construction experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with projects valued at $30M+ preferred
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, CMiC, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, design partners, and clients
