Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Photography faculty position in the Department of Visual Arts to begin fall 2027. The Department of Visual Arts is a NASAD accredited program and is dedicated to teaching excellence. Job responsibilities will be on the Gainesville campus.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will:
• Teach three courses each semester, holding office hours, maintaining studio space and equipment, assisting advisees, service on departmental and institutional committees, professional development/continuing education for emerging software, and a focus on pedagogies that foster student success and workforce readiness.
• Demonstrate a successful record (and commitment to) teaching in a creative environment or equivalent industry experience that is transferrable to the classroom.
• Responsibilities include expectations for teaching, scholarship and service.

Required Qualifications

• M.F.A. in Visual Art or equivalent industry experience and expertise.
• Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in the following:
  • Digital and darkroom photography

Preferred Qualifications

• The ability and willingness to teach on-line and interdisciplinary courses are also preferred.
