Job Summary
The Department of Chemistry and Physics within the College of Science and Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering beginning fall of 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Teach and develop courses in several of the following areas: DC & circuits, electronic devices, digital logics, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers, robotics/automation, Optics and optoelectronics and other electrical/electronic engineering areas.
• Participate in student recruitment, advising and institutional and/or community service.
• Serve on various department, college, and university committees.
• Supervise senior research projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities of programs in the department.
• Attend University and College faculty meetings, convocations, commencements, and official functions of the University.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities related to semiconductor electronics, MEMS, flexible electronics, organic electronics, and your area of expertise, while actively involving undergraduate students in your research.
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the department chair and the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Earned doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related area.
2. Demonstrated ability to teach.
3. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work collegially and productively.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Teaching experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (lectures and labs).
2. Postdoctoral research experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a closely related area.
3. Demonstrated ability in grant writing.
4. Demonstrated ability in scholarly activities.
5. Research experience involving undergraduates.
