Position Summary
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our team. Located in our Denver, CO headquarters, you will report to the Senior Director of Product Line Management, Power Transmission, Americas.
Regional Product Line Management (RPLM) is essential to our organization - enabling the profitable growth of the power transmission product line. RPLM works collaboratively with the Global Product Line Management, Operational, Commercial, Application Engineering and Marketing teams to create successful opportunities that strengthen the overall financial health and success of the Engine Belts product line, specifically the Gates Micro V product portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Input and Leadership
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the North American Engine Belt market and consolidate insights for integration into regional product line strategies, regional commercial strategies, and overall commercial success and leadership in the market. Includes tracking market trends, indices, and participating in industry organizations.
  • Maintain a view of the North American competitive landscape, identifying key players, creating competitive profiles, and enabling competitive benchmarking assessments.
  • Drive the progress of new production introductions to support replacement market, engine first fit (on the vehicle, truck or off highway applications), and product line initiative KPIs and ensuring seamless integration into the commercial plans - including tracking actual performance against targets.
  • Provide thoughtful input into the product roadmap based on market and application-driven needs and opportunities.
  • Champion approved Regional VAVE (Value Add / Value Engineering) projects to completion, driving cost and productivity savings for the product line - including supporting the validation of the savings realization.

Supporting Operational Excellence and Driving Customer Satisfaction
  • Drive regional product line life cycle management through 80/20 analytics, quad balancing, and product obsolescence.
  • Resolve critical service level and quality issues that impact customer satisfaction and financial performance.
  • Contribute to demand planning by translating customer and sales input, market indices and industry reports in coordination with Demand Planning Team into projected business implications on end market performance.
  • Lead and supports the execution of back-office and plant level operations continuous improvement initiatives to drive simplification and efficiencies within the business.
  • Support Supply Chain and Finance in the management and actioning of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory.

Drive Commercial Success and Growth
  • Deliver engaging field sales training on products, application criteria, and creating compelling value in the market.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Operations Planning, Customer Experience, and Operations to resolve backlog situations, ensuring the achievement of financial and other operating metrics.
  • Capture VOC through active participation in customer meetings, Distributor Advisory Council meetings, industry events, and engagement with field sales while engaging as a subject matter expert in customer and distributor meetings.
  • Support the evaluation of high value or strategic quote packages in terms of pricing and scenario planning around market conflicts.
  • Lead the product line specific price increase evaluation and recommendations associated with inflation, 80/20 pricing action implementation, or targeted pricing actions - aligning with and with the support of the pricing team meeting overall objectives.
  • Execute the pricing and positioning strategy for New Product introductions at a regional level for commercialization in support of Global Product Line management and Pricing.
  • Lead catalog creation for regional market needs.
  • Provide regional support for vertical market research, content creation, target identification, training and market insights for marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for local trade shows, industry associations, and standards bodies participation.

Requirements and Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or Marketing from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of product management or other relevant experience, preferably in a Engine Belt, automotive or industrial aftermarket environment.
  • Experience with 80/20 deployment, product life cycle management, and quad balancing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence across multiple levels within the company and locations.
  • Strategic mindset and strong sense of business acumen.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and proactive approach to work.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, disciplined and possessing the highest level of integrity.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to consolidate complex data sets and manipulate into clear summaries.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and occasionally accommodate working outside of regular office hours.
  • Excited to work in the office with great teammates.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

PAY & BENEFITS
    • Full-Time
    • Salary: $120,000-$140,000
    • Bonus Eligible: 10%
    • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
    • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
    • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
    • Tuition Reimbursement
