Corning's Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Role Purpose
Assist in development and execution of a product line strategy that supports the achievement of desired product line sales growth and profitability required to deliver CET P&L objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop market insights through strategic assessments of the market, customers, competitors, and CET capabilities
  • Create effective product line vision, strategy, critical projects, roadmaps, and plans
  • Help define next gen product requirements and champion those projects
  • Drive cross functional teams to deliver the strategy and product line P&L goals
  • Provide and maintain sales tools (e.g. value proposition presentation, product offering) to customer-facing organizations to ensure effective deployment of product line strategy
  • Interpret customer needs and provide key input/decision for capacity planning through forecasting and demand management process; manage priorities and constraints; optimize short term demand/supply, monitor inventory and SLOB
  • Establish product pricing strategies and manage requests below strategy
  • Deliver timely, effective maintenance of business support required of customers across functional organizations
  • Monitor Product Line Performance and lead/support business process improvements

Travel Requirements:
  • 10-15% to include international (Asia and Europe)

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
  • 40 hours / days / regular

Experiences/Education - Required
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or science
  • MBA or equivalent desired

Required Years and Area of Experience:
  • 3+ years of business experience in commercial, strategy, engineering or technical areas

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of marketing, business analysis and commercial operations
  • Well organized, process oriented, and has systematic approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated track record of leading multinational teams and managing projects

Experiences/Education - Desired
  • Financial analysis and accounting experience
  • Experience managing people
  • Work experience in manufacturing, engineering, and/or development
  • Work experience in a strategy group
  • International work experience
  • Participation in, or leadership of, multicultural and/or multi-geographic project
  • Previous product management experience
  • Knowledge/familiarity with the automotive industry

The range for this position is $100,646.00 - $138,388.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
