Job description

ASSISTANT PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Keep a high-end shop moving on schedule and on spec.

McKenzie Craft fabricates custom millwork out of our 25,000 sq ft shop in Miami. We are looking for an Assistant Production Coordinator to hold the line between the schedule and the floor — tracking work orders, staging materials, and making sure nothing stalls waiting on something that should have been ordered weeks ago.

What you will do

  • Build and track production schedules against project timelines
  • Coordinate shop floor workflow so daily goals and work orders stay aligned
  • Serve as the shop's designated Safety Officer, running audits, walk-throughs, tool checkout, and new-hire safety training
  • Receive incoming materials to the correct work order and keep inventory records accurate
  • Flag long lead time materials early and keep master notes current
  • Stage, pack, label, and dispatch finished goods for outbound delivery
  • Carry technical requirements between project managers, engineering, and the floor
  • Check millwork quality at every stage and keep the documentation behind it clean

What you bring

  • Degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of architectural millwork and casework fabrication
  • Fluency with shop drawings, RFI records, and project paperwork
  • Strong Excel skills for schedule tracking and data entry
  • Willingness to wear full PPE and work the floor and the yard in any weather

Salaried, exempt. Reports to the Production Coordinator.
