Department of Political Science - College of Social Sciences & Public Policy
Responsibilities
The Department of Political Science in the College of Social Sciences & Public Policy at Florida State University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to begin in Fall 2027. We seek candidates whose research focuses on American political behavior, including, but not limited to, the political behavior of the general public, groups, or political elites, public opinion, and political psychology.
Must be able to offer undergraduate and doctoral level courses in Political Behavior.
Qualifications
Candidates must have earned a PhD degree in Political Science or a related discipline by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Successful candidates are expected to add to the department's strengths in quantitative, experimental, and/or formal methods.
