Job description

Role Summary

We're looking for a Production intern to support photo shoots end-to-end, from pre-production logistics to on-set assistance to light creative direction for both Retrofete and Seroya, and to help build out decks and reference materials using both traditional and AI-assisted tools. This is a great fit for someone early in their career who has a good eye, is organized, and is comfortable picking up new software quickly. This person will report and work closely with the Art Director

Core Responsibilities

Production

  • Coordinate photo shoot logistics: scheduling, call sheets, location/vendor communication, talent/model coordination
  • Manage equipment lists, prop sourcing, and on-set organization
  • Handle day-of production support (set up, wrangling, timeline tracking)
  • Maintain shot lists and ensure deliverables are tracked post-shoot

Junior Art Direction

  • Gather and organize mood boards and reference imagery for shoot concepts
  • Assist in building visual decks/presentations for internal review and client/stakeholder approval
  • Support the creative lead in translating concepts into shootable references
  • Maintain an organized reference/asset library

Photography & Tools

  • Comfortable using standard photo editing tools (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, or Capture One)
  • Solid eye for composition, lighting, and visual quality — able to flag issues or curate selects
  • Proficient (or quick to learn) deck-building tools (Google Slides, Keynote, Canva, PowerPoint)
  • Working familiarity with AI tools for image generation/editing, research, and reference gathering (e.g., Midjourney, Photoshop generative fill, ChatGPT/Claude for research or drafting) . doesn't need to be an expert, just resourceful and willing to experiment

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in photography, visual arts, communications, or related field
  • Some experience assisting on photo/video shoots (school projects, freelance, internships) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — production work is logistics-heavy
  • Genuine visual sensibility, can articulate why a reference image works
  • Curious and adaptable with new software/tools, including AI tools
  • Good communicator; comfortable coordinating with vendors, talent, and internal stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Personal photography portfolio or body of work
  • Experience with basic video/BTS content capture

Benefits

Hourly Rate: $17.50
