Job description

We are seeking an Optometry Office Assistant to join our team in Monterey Park. You will have the ultimate customer care by:

  • Greeting patients
  • Preparing patient charts
  • Performing automated preliminary testing
  • Authorizing Insurance
  • Billing Insurance
  • Scheduling Appointments

This person will also be responsible for effectively and politely answering the phones, organizing paperwork and daily housekeeping.

PART TIME and FULL TIME available.

Excellent patient-care opportunity for pre-PA and pre-MED students!

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a receptionist to the doctors, including scheduling examinations, confirming appointments, collecting fees, performing related bookkeeping procedures, maintaining appropriate patient records; maintain records of daily deposits.
  • Operate pre-testing equipment (training provided).
  • Maintain accurate filing of patient charts and records.
  • Plan and schedule patient appointments.
  • Basic medical billing (training provided)
  • Greet and assist patients
  • Answer inbound calls

Qualifications:

· Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish is a huge PLUS!)

· Rockstar Customer Service is MUST!

· Weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday)

· Experience in Optometry Office is a plus but not required.

· Proficient in basic computer applications and Quickbooks software, Crystal PM, Microsoft Word

· Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced office environment assisting patients, managing payment transactions, pre-testing & appointment scheduling.

· FAST LEARNER, outgoing personality and dependable.
