Job description

You will be responsible for overseeing the operations of three key locations: GFTX, Kyle, and HQS Warehouse. This role requires ensuring smooth operations across all locations, minimizing overtime, and maintaining high operational standards. You will manage the location supervisors, set up operational criteria, address emergency issues, support program teams, and assist HR in managing the operation teams

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

1. Schedule Management:

  • Develop and manage the schedules for each location to ensure smooth operations and minimize overtime (OT).
  • Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency across all locations.

2. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):

  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each location and ensure their consistent implementation.
  • Regularly review and update SOPs to align with operational needs and improvements.

3. Supervision and Criteria Management:

  • Manage and oversee location supervisors and people, ensuring they fulfill their daily responsibilities effectively.
  • Develop and enforce criteria for operational performance, including:
  • Cycle time of each project.
  • Weekly OT targets.
  • Customer complaints (Corrective Action Requests - CARs) targets.
  • Operation data input and accuracy controls.
  • Customer material and parts returns, and other relevant metrics.

4. Emergency Issue Management:

Address and resolve emergency issues related to regional operations, including but not limited to:

  • Customer complaints.
  • Project issues.
  • Scheduling conflicts.
  • Employee absences.
  • Consumable shortages.
  • Other unforeseen operational challenges.

5. Project Support:

  • Collaborate with local program teams to successfully launch and close projects.
  • Ensure that all operational aspects of the projects meet customer expectations and timelines.

6. HR Support:

  • Work closely with HR to recruit, manage, and develop the operations team at each location.
  • Support HR in addressing any personnel issues that may arise within the operations team.

7. Consumables and Tools Management:

  • Oversee the management of consumables and tools across all locations.
  • Ensure that all necessary materials and tools are available and maintained to support smooth operations.

8. Complete assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • College or above with engineering background preferred
  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Excel, Google Form
  • Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel between locations.
