Job description

Job Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant of Healthcare Services Reports to the Director of Healthcare Services. They will work under the direction and cooperation with the Physician and Nurse Practitioner, with supervision from the Nurse Manager. They are responsible for the care and safety of clients/patients while in Healthcare Services. They must have good communication skills and be caring towards patients and should be willing to work under pressure. They must use discretion while maintaining patient confidentiality.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A standard high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Social Security Card is required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to read and write the English language
  • On-going background checks and random drug and alcohol screenings
  • Medication Administration Certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of the required physical examination by an approved Orange Grove physician. 
  • Specifics about the position in question will be addressed later in the description. 
  • All applicants are required to have a physical and be found to be in good physical health.
