Job description

This full-time role, stationed in our Los Angeles, CA office supports the Virgin Music Group's Global Sync team. Success in this area requires a significant knowledge of sync, an acute understanding of our client and partner repertoire and responsibilities, and a proactive approach to our overall sync goals.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
Licensing:
• Integral part of licensing admin workflow- agreement follow ups, returning fully executed agreements, invoice tracking, logging payments, minimal issuing of template based formal agreements
• Entering and routing confirmations and license requests
• Routing of client approvals and quote requests for assigned media lanes
• Log, maintain, and manage pending deals in Sync Tracker
• Managing entries in the Sync tracker from Universal supply chain reports (FTVL)
• Generate sync activity reports - pitch log, licensing activity
Creative:
• Proactively service the VMG catalog to assigned clients within the unscripted TV, Indie/Student film, Lifestyle communities
• Support creative team with high volume of creative briefs as needed
• Provide support on DISCO Maintenance - admin upkeep, metadata tagging, link creation
• Stay current with industry trends, sync landscape and upcoming projects/productions
• Attend industry events such as conferences, panels, showcases and mixers
Support:
• Run point on calendar scheduling for team meetings
• Assist with department process and training documentation upkeep
• Other additional projects and tasks deemed necessary to support team
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in a creative sync/licensing role, music supervision or similar
• In depth understanding of the functions of a record label, publisher, major studio, music supervision firm and/or sync agency
• Must have a deep understanding of current cultural, musical, and sub-genre trends, a bonus for interest in technologies and general market trends
• Carries an understanding of sync negotiations, licensing and sound recording/publishing rights
• Strong, proactive work ethic, highly organized, and self-motivated individual
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a broad, eclectic music taste, preferably with an interest in indie, alternative, electronic, K-pop, R&B and hip hop
• Outgoing, social and engaging personality, must have a desire and be available for after-hour meetings, shows, and events
• Experience with Airtable, Box, DISCO, Excel, Google Docs, Outlook, PowerPoint, Slack strongly desired
