General Ledger Manager
Summary
This role as a General Ledger Manager requires a strong foundation in cash management, financial reporting, and accounting. The ideal candidate will excel in balance sheet reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and Sage, along with excellent communication and analysis skills, will be essential for success in this position. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred, with a background in credit analysis and collection management being advantageous.
Responsibilities:
· Manager Daily Credit Operations with Customers-Evaluate and approve new accounts, negotiate credit limits; manage document change requests, maintain reporting and policy adherence.
· Accounts Receivable- Collaborate, monitor, and confer with customers and management regarding collection of past due amounts. Approve adjustments and ensure past-due accounts are properly handled. Collaborate with collection agents and outside counsel if necessary to resolve delinquent or bankrupt accounts.
· Financial Management- Handle general banking activities; apply cash collections, and other duties.
· General Ledger Daily Operations- Manage closing processes, complete necessary reconciliation. Generate journal entries; prepare company financial statements; prepare associated reports as needed; assist with audit workpapers.
Qualifications/Skills:
· 5-7 years related experience in a position with similar responsibilities and duties,
· Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Business Administration, Finance) preferred.
· High level business interaction knowledge, accounting procedures, computer skills and strong demonstrated analytical skills.
· Customer communication and determined collection management experience a plus for this position.
· Strong analytical skills with a focus on credit analysis and risk assessment
· Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
