Job description

Job Summary: We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanic to join our team. As a mechanic, you'll assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on commercial roofing equipment and vehicles. This will include some diesel mechanic experience
Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians with repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
  • Fleet consists of various gas and diesel equipment
  • Conduct visual inspections and report issues to senior technicians.
  • Learn and apply knowledge of mechanical principles and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with inventory management and parts ordering.
  • Develop skills in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
  • Picking up parts (driving required)
  • Should be familiar with shop equipment (jacks, jack stands, air tools)
  • Physical requirements, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting 50lbs. repeated daily, 75 to 100lbs on occasion. Basic hand tools required, safety shoes.
  • Other activities as required

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of vocational training or technical school (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic toolset and willingness to learn.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of mechanical experience.
  • Familiarity with commercial roofing equipment (e.g., boom lifts, forklifts).
