Hospital Environmental Services Manager
Salary: $65,000-$70,000 per year
Valley Forge Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dependable Environmental Services Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospital housekeeping/environmental services department. The ideal candidate will have prior hospital environmental services experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of healthcare cleanliness standards and state licensing requirements.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Environmental Services Department within the hospital setting
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate environmental services staff
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, OSHA guidelines, and state licensing requirements related to environmental services
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and departmental budgets
  • Collaborate with nursing, administration, and other departments to support quality patient care environments
  • Address staff performance issues and maintain productivity standards
  • Maintain accurate regulatory and safety documentation
  • Interview, hire, and train staff
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures relating to Environmental Services
  • Manage inventory of supplies, chemicals, and toiletries

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must successfully pass criminal background screening
  • Must successfully pass drug screening
  • Reliable attendance and professionalism required

Compensation, Benefits and Schedule:
