Job description

Robert Half Technology is seeking a Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator / Team Lead to support a client in the transportation industry in Seattle, Washington. This role will serve as a senior escalation point for the Help Desk team while supporting ongoing Microsoft 365 initiatives, system configurations, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.

This position will work closely with internal teams to support and enhance the organization’s Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Entra ID environments.

Duration: Contract-to-hire

Location: 100% Onsite in Seattle, Washington

Pay Rate: $60-$70/hourly

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Help Desk and end-user support related to Microsoft 365 technologies
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 environments including: SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Support configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 solutions and services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and implement technical configurations and solutions
  • Assist with the design and execution of M365-related initiatives and infrastructure improvements
  • Support ongoing infrastructure and migration projects, including Windows Server migrations from 2016 to 2022
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a small team, including oversight of 2 direct reports
  • Maintain security, user management, permissions, and administration best practices across Microsoft environments
  • Partner cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an Agile environment 


  • Strong experience as a Microsoft 365 SME
  • Hands-on administration experience with: SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Experience supporting and configuring enterprise Microsoft environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and escalation support experience
  • Experience supporting infrastructure upgrades and migrations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members or Help Desk staff
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level Microsoft infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft security and administration best practices
