Job description

Overview
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to drive end-to-end delivery of critical platform capabilities across the Connected (Salesforce) ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technology, and business execution - translating complex needs into actionable solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
This is a hands-on, technical role. The Technical Business Analyst leads discovery, drives requirements definition, and partners closely with product managers, business stakeholders, delivery teams and vendor partners to uncover business problems, challenge assumptions, and innovate solutions that advance strategic goals. They are accountable for translating strategy into well-defined user stories, owning releases, and ensuring features are not just defined but shipped, adopted, and successful in production.
You will be a driver of execution discipline, delivery transparency, and continuous improvement - bringing analytical rigor and cross-team leadership to every initiative you own.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Requirements & Analysis
  • Lead discovery sessions to uncover business problems, challenge assumptions, and define the full scope of platform needs - going beyond surface requirements to understand the 'why.'
  • Drive requirements definition across functional and non-functional needs; produce clear, well-structured business requirements documents, process maps, and user stories that enable development teams to execute with confidence.
  • Analyze and translate complex business needs into actionable user stories, breaking down ambiguity into development-ready specifications.
  • Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and process reviews to identify opportunities for platform optimization and operational efficiency.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Drive alignment across business, product, architecture, and delivery teams proactively to clarify business needs and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendor partners, and IS leadership; escalate and resolve issues before they become blockers.
  • Lead and facilitate working sessions, design workshops, and cross-functional reviews - not just participating but driving decisions and outcomes.
  • Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly and proactively to product, business, and IS leadership.

Delivery & Release Ownership
  • Own and execute Release on Demand (ROD) including release planning, dependency management, risk identification, go-live readiness, and post-release validation.
  • Manage product backlog grooming and prioritization in partnership with Product Managers; ensure the backlog reflects current business priorities and is ready for sprint planning.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives with a focus on delivery velocity and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure solutions address not just functional requirements but also operationalization, support, and adoption needs in a fast-paced production environment.

Platform & Technical Partnership
  • Partner with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to design feasible, scalable Salesforce/Connected platform capabilities including workflows, automation, approval processes, security controls, and integrations.
  • Actively lead discussions on platform design, data architecture, user access, and systems integration requirements bringing business context to technical decisions.
  • Partner with QA and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, drive test strategy, and validate that delivered solutions solve the intended business problem.
  • Leverage AI tools (Copilot, Einstein, etc.) to accelerate analysis, documentation, and discovery workflows.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required; specialization in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Product Analyst in an Enterprise Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated experience driving requirements definition with a track record of influencing product direction and business outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable enterprise CRM platform; ability to design workflows, automation, and security models within the platform.
  • Deep proficiency with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum); experience owning backlog management, user story writing, and sprint ceremonies.
  • Experience with Release on Demand (ROD) or comparable release management practices in a continuous delivery environment.
  • AI tool proficiency with working knowledge of tools like Claude, Copilot, Salesforce Einstein AI, or equivalent to enhance analytical and delivery workflows.
  • Strong data literacy; ability to interpret reporting, pipeline metrics, and platform analytics to surface actionable insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams) and collaboration/documentation tools (VersionOne, Confluence, Jira, ADO, or equivalent).

Skills/Abilities:
  • Analytical mindset - asks 'why', challenges assumptions, and connects business needs to platform outcomes rather than simply capturing requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical complexity into clear narratives for both business and IS audiences.
  • Skilled facilitator who leads working sessions, drives decisions, and manages conflicting stakeholder priorities with confidence.
  • Cross-team collaboration including comfortable working across coalition teams, operating companies, and vendor partners in a matrixed environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; manage multiple concurrent workstreams without losing focus on delivery outcomes.
  • Proactive conflict resolution addresses issues early, surfaces risks, and navigates ambiguity without waiting to be asked.

Core Competencies:
  • Drive for Results
  • Build Relationships & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Think Critically & Analytically
  • Communicate Clearly
  • Lead Change
  • Create Accountability
  • Inspire & Influence Others
