OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Asset Manager to join our dynamic team. As the IT Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our organization's assets and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware and software asset management, licensing, procurement and a deep understanding of IT operations as they apply to those assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Asset Management
  • Develop and promote effective Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) strategies, policies, approaches, and best practices across the full range of digital technology assets used within the organization.
  • Plan, monitor, and record assets.
  • Work with business stakeholders and asset owners to maintain and manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories (i.e., Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the IT Asset Management Table).
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in technology spending, as well as in tracking company assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assist in effective management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate.
  • Understand the role of ITAM as it applies to Infrastructure, Applications, Development, Procurement, Information Security and even physical security.
  • Perform verification and audit of CMDB content.
  • Understand NY-DFS and CIS policy requirements and standards, by creating governance and strategic asset management functions.
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management.
  • Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, including version control, licensing details, and usage statistics.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and optimize software utilization.

Lifecycle Compliance
  • Monitor and enforce software licensing agreements to ensure compliance with vendor terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and enforce hardware lifecycle to ensure compliance with organizations policies.
  • Generate and maintain reports on licensing and lifecycle

Documentation and Reporting
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to software licenses, agreements, and compliance processes.
  • Generate regular reports for management, providing insights into software usage, compliance status, and cost optimization opportunities.

Vendor Management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with software vendors to stay informed about licensing changes, updates, and promotions.
  • Evaluate and negotiate licensing agreements to achieve cost savings and maximize value for the organization.
  • Work closely with procurement to manage software contracts and renewals.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience in IT asset management with a focus on hardware, software and licensing.
  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, terms, and conditions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB is mandatory.
  • Experience with Qualys a plus.
  • Familiar with Solarwinds a plus.
  • Experience working with Procurement and Legal teams.
  • Experienced in interpretation of contractual language.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and experience with CMDB
  • IAITAM Certification, CSAM or CITAM required.

Please note that this role requires on-site presence, while the Bank has a hybrid schedule it is dependent on the position, the hiring manager and business needs. Some roles are required to be 5 days in the office.
CompensationThe expected annual salary for this position is between $140,000 and $160,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual's skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
