Job Title:ย  Head Golf Coach Coach

Location:ย ย Ogden Community Schools, Ogden, IA

Position Summary

The Head Golf Coach is responsible for leading and developing a positive, competitive golf program for high school boys and girls in Ogden that promotes skill development, sportsmanship, academic success, and character while supporting the mission of the school and athletic department.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct safe, organized, and effective practices and competitions.
  • Teach golf fundamentals, strategy, sportsmanship, and course etiquette.
  • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Promote the academic, personal, and athletic development of student-athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, administration, and assistant coaches.
  • Manage equipment, uniforms, budgets, and other program needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all district, conference, and state athletic association rules and policies.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team travel.
  • Promote and grow the golf program through positive community relationships and youth engagement.
  • Complete all required district trainings and attend coaches' meetings and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement.
  • Knowledge of the game of golf and coaching fundamentals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
