Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
  • SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000
  • Position: Ultrasound Technologist Senior
  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time, 30 hours weekly
  • Hours: 11pm to 6:30am, weekend 7:00pm to 6:30am
  • Week One: Sunday, Monday, Thursday
  • Week Two: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

What you will do:
Reporting to the Director of Radiology/Imaging with accountability to the team facilitator and the team, performs ultrasound scans on patients in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis of medical disorders. Monitors patient's condition; maintains area equipment and supplies; assists in training technologists and students.
What you will need:
  • The level of knowledge normally obtained through an accredited Ultrasound program including clinical training.
  • All sonographers must be certified and currently registered as a RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), RT(S), RT (VS) (American Registry of Radiologic Technology-Sonography/Vascular Sonography), RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must obtain certification within 24 months of graduation from ultrasound program.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.
  • Current CPR(BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

What you will need:
  • High School/General Studies Required
  • Completion of formal ultrasound program approved by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographics required.
  • Registry license, required
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in operating Siemens and GE ultrasound machines and KinetDx reporting and storage system.
  • 3-5 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, preferred
