Description:

SUMMARY 

This position is located in the MIS/IT Department. The incumbent is responsible for providing cross-department technical troubleshooting, maintaining data integrity, supporting casino systems, and assisting with day-to-day information systems operations. The Data Administrator will help resolve hardware, software, user access, printer, reporting, and gaming system issues, and will provide on-call support as needed. This role is intended to provide direct support to departmental operations by reducing workload and helping ensure systems are functioning effectively across departments. The Data Administrator is accountable for cooperating with other departments, maintaining compliance with Minimum Internal Control Standards, and ensuring all MIS/IT objectives of the Casino are met. All discrepancies must be reported to Casino Management.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Extract data and prepare approved patron or operational lists as requested
  • Compile qualify lists and import approved data into the SYNKROS system
  • Create SYNKROS incentives and prepare them for approval
  • Activate and issue approved offers, promotions, and system entries
  • Audit ongoing and monthly promotions for accuracy in SYNKROS and related systems
  • Review promotions and assist with determining whether they can be programmed into the SYNKROS system
  • Assist with data integrity, system validation, and troubleshooting discrepancies
  • Provide cross-department technical support for hardware, software, printers, user access, and business applications
  • Troubleshoot and support SYNKROS, gaming systems, point-of-sale systems, reporting systems, and other casino applications
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, connectivity issues, workstations, peripherals, and system access
  • Coordinate with vendors for system support, troubleshooting, updates, and issue resolution
  • Maintain documentation for system changes, troubleshooting steps, user access, and recurring issues
  • Provide on-call support as needed for casino systems and IT-related issues
  • Must understand and comply with the System of Minimum Internal Control Standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must know and understand the State Gaming Compact and operational policies and procedures.
  • Must be certifiable through the Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office and the Arizona Department of Gaming.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field preferred
  • 1-year equivalent to at least TS-6, 2-year specialized work experience, 4 years in related field
  • CompTIA Tech+ certification required or must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and directly related experience may be considered.
  • All applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
