Help Keep Freight Moving and Drivers Supported

Successful transportation operations depend on strong communication, quick decision-making, and effective coordination. We're seeking a motivated Freight Dispatcher who can manage freight movements, support drivers, and help ensure loads move safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

You'll serve as a key link between drivers, customers, brokers, and operations while helping maximize equipment utilization and service performance.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Dispatch & Load Coordination

  • Coordinate freight movements from pickup through final delivery
  • Assign loads to available drivers and equipment based on operational needs
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively address scheduling challenges
  • Maximize truck utilization while minimizing downtime and empty miles
  • Assist with load planning, routing, and operational scheduling

Driver Support & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers throughout the day
  • Provide dispatch instructions, load information, and route updates
  • Assist drivers with issues involving delays, traffic, weather, breakdowns, and customer requests
  • Maintain consistent communication to ensure drivers have the information and support needed to succeed
  • Build strong working relationships with drivers and field personnel

Customer & Broker Relations

  • Communicate professionally with customers, brokers, warehouses, and transportation partners
  • Provide shipment updates and delivery status information
  • Help identify freight opportunities and support revenue-generating activities
  • Ensure customer expectations and service commitments are clearly communicated and met
  • Maintain strong relationships through responsive and professional service

Operations & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and shipment documentation
  • Update load status, delivery confirmations, and operational notes in company systems
  • Track load progress and communicate important updates internally
  • Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and transportation documentation
  • Ensure operational information is accurate, complete, and properly documented
