The Financial Analyst - ACO is responsible for providing analytical support for the ACO controlling, preparing internal financial statements and bridges, assisting with the forecasting and budgeting processes, and supporting the sales team in updating the Sector data base (monthly, quarterly, in forecasts and in annual planning) and commission payments. This position is expected to support cost-reduction efforts, assist in maximizing the efficiency of the financial systems, and communicate within the Controlling and Sales Teams.
The Financial Analyst responsibilities including the following:
  • Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
  • Assist and consolidate financial results for the ACO and Sales Data Base for monthly, quarterly, and forecast reviews
  • Prepare and provide PMV reports to Plant Controllers monthly
  • Consolidate commission payment information, calculate payments, and obtain approvals at the proper frequency
  • Help implement best practices for analytics and reporting, ensuring consistent calculations and comparisons
  • Provide financial and analytical support and analyses for various projects and cost reduction initiatives
  • Assist Controllers with audits and adherence to controls
  • All other assignments assigned by management

Education and Experience
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CMA/CPA and/or MBA is a plus
  • 1+ years of cost analysis and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Paper Industry experience is preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical, accounting systems and communicaiton skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Action-oriented and the ability to be self directed
  • JDE, SAP, HFM, ReportsNow and BW/BI experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to travel between mills (De Pere, Kaukauna, Mosinee, Stevens Point, and Rhinelander)
