Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Accountant to support month-end close activities, financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable operations, and project accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, manufacturing industry experience, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries and supporting documentation
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Compile, analyze, and review financial information for monthly close activities
• Update monthly financial reporting trackers and assist with reporting requirements
• Analyze financial results and identify discrepancies or improvement opportunities

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Manage daily accounts payable activities and invoice processing
• Create and maintain vendor records within the ERP system
• Review, code, and approve invoices for key vendors
• Coordinate weekly payment runs with the Controller
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies

Account Reconciliations & Financial Analysis

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Partner with internal stakeholders and sister companies to resolve reconciliation variances
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation

Operational & Project Accounting Support

• Prepare weekly work order status reports for Supply Chain and Management
• Review Accounts Payable hold reports and collaborate with Supply Chain and Sourcing teams to resolve outstanding issues
• Process and reconcile monthly Travel & Expense (T&E) transactions
• Ensure expenses are accurately allocated to projects and profit & loss accounts
• Support project accounting activities as required

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns as required
• Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and financial controls
• Support audits by providing documentation and reconciliations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
• Project Accounting experience
• Workday experience preferred
• OneStream experience preferred
