Job Description Summary
Support day-to-day office operations, marketing, and student-facing programming within the department.
Responsibilities
  • Front desk coverage: welcoming visitors, and directing inquiries
  • Assisting with logistics and setup for department events and programs
  • Assist with the Office of First Gen & Promising Futures Programs, Early Outreach Initiatives by leading campus tours, participating in student panels, and inspiring K-12 students to pursue higher education
  • Representing the department at campus and community events
  • Designing marketing materials in Canva, including flyers, social graphics, and promotional content
  • Photography and videography for events and promotional use
Required Qualifications
  • No prior experience required; willingness to learn office, event, and marketing support processes
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite etc.
  • Reliable, organized, and comfortable interacting with the public
  • Interest in Canva, photography, video editing, or marketing strongly encouraged
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Canva or other graphic design tools
  • Interest in or experience with photography/videography
  • Comfort with public speaking, especially leading tours or presenting to groups
  • Experience working with or mentoring K-12 or first-generation students
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment
