Technical Editor
The Opportunity:
Edit and review modeling and simulation (M&S) technical documentation, user manuals, test plans and reports, and technical briefings. Apply advanced consulting skills and technical expertise, including industry knowledge of government M&S documentation. Work with direction on tasking and timelines, but without oversight while assisting and mentoring team members through the documentation editing and review process.
You Have:
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to edit content from other contributors to ensure consistent voice, compelling and compliant messaging, and lack of spelling, typographical, and grammatical errors
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience writing, proofreading, and editing compelling technical documentation such as reports, letters, and briefing materials, or Master's degree and 1+ years of experience writing, proofreading, and editing compelling technical documentation such as reports, letters, and briefing materials

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience using LaTeX Editor
  • Experience using and modifying styles, cross references, bibliography standardization, and Tables of Content
  • Experience working with technical and functional delivery teams on technical documentation
  • Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) systems
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and balance numerous priorities while meeting tight deadlines
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Communications, Engineering, or a Science field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
