Distribution Center Equipment Operator - (1341 Warford St, Memphis, TN 38108)

Job Summary
The Distribution Center Associate Equipment Operator plays a key role in delivering the Hollywood Feed experience by operating material handling equipment to pick, load, and store products at the Hollywood Feed Distribution Center. This position helps maintain safe and efficient inventory flow, ensuring orders are fulfilled promptly for both retail locations and for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate various types of equipment such as:
  • Dock Stocker
  • Reach Trucks
  • Sit-Down Forklift
  • Pallet Jacks (manual and electric)
  • Accurately pick products according to order specifications using RF scanners or pick sheets.
  • Load and unload trailers and containers, ensuring product and pallet stability.
  • Move inventory to appropriate storage locations, following established slotting procedures.
  • Conduct pre-operation safety checks and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory control activities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Expected to complete assigned daily tasks within working zone according to required training.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve shipping deadlines and sustain productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements amp; Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of distribution center experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to effectively operate individually or part of a cohesive team.
  • Ability to maintain open and respectful communication with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Utilize company approved biometric authentication systems and safely operate company equipment incorporating biometric, video, audio and other safety technologies. Reasonable accommodation requests will be evaluated through the interactive process in accordance with applicable law.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Role requires working in a non-climate-controlled light industrial environment.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, sit-down, counterbalance lift, and powered hand jack.
  • Physically able to perform the job functions for 8–10-hour workdays.
  • Employees may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, along with bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and other physical movements essential to daily tasks.

Education amp; Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Equipment Certification required
