Position Summary
The Director, Supply Chain directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors and distribution of finished goods.
Position Details
  • Develops and implements supply chain strategies and process improvements to support operational efficiency and business objectives.
  • Negotiates vendor contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing and reliable supplier performance.
  • Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate performance and trends to forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
  • Partners with Project Managers, Division Managers, Foremen, and Superintendents to ensure material availability and alignment with project requirements.
  • Serves as mentor and provides training and coaching to team members.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of purchasing experience required, with minimum of 5 years' experience leading a purchasing team in the construction or manufacturing industry
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to align and achieve company, division, and project goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to control and reduce external spend while developing a strong supplier base
