Job description

Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading organization in the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) space looking to bring on an Director of Operations & Maintenance.


This individual will be responsible for providing both strategic direction and daily operational leadership across a portfolio of RNG facilities, while supporting the overall business growth and performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall operations strategy by setting annual business objectives, establishing performance goals, and implementing initiatives that improve operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, providing direction and support to department managers while driving development, planning, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee financial performance with responsibility for budgets, forecasting, resource allocation, and P&L management to ensure sustainable and cost-effective operations.
  • Support company growth by strengthening client partnerships, identifying new opportunities, contributing to commercial proposals and contract negotiations, and collaborating with business development to expand project portfolio.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, maintenance, and business development.
  • Industry experience within RNG, biogas, landfill gas, gas processing, wastewater, or related processing industries.
  • Experience with managing O&M service contracts, customer relationships/business development, and service-based business models.
  • Travel up to 25% to support field operations, customer relationships, and ensure consistent operational performance and execution across the portfolio.
