Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hiring new nurses and overseeing the onboarding process by training them or assigning them to a trainer

  • Creating schedules to ensure that departments have adequate nursing coverage for every shift

  • Coaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issues

  • Monitoring expenses to ensure that the facility operates within budgetary constraints
