Job description

This role will be in direct support of the Director of Surgical Quality and will also supports two National data programs overseen by the American College of Surgeons: The National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) and the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC), and clinical trials within the Department of Surgery at Fox Chase Cancer Center-Temple Health. The Data Manager will:
  • Ensure the integrity of assigned databases as well as accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Be responsible for overall coordination of the clinical trial activities. 
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the study team, sponsor, CROs, finance, subcontractors, including team meetings. 
  • Manage sponsored clinical trial preparation, start up and implementation, including obtaining informed patient consents, patient screenings for eligibility, enrolling/monitoring study patients in an outpatient setting, and ensuring protocol compliance.
