RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supports the security and operational integrity of Navy-related facilities and programs. The individual will assist in implementing and maintaining security measures that protect personnel, information, property, and mission-critical operations, consistent with Department of the Navy and DoD security requirements. Duties include supporting physical, information, and personnel security functions.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrating the experience, training, and capability to follow detailed instructions and to read, comprehend, and apply a broad range of security regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to Navy operations.
  • Showing the ability-either through demonstrated experience or through endorsements-to learn and perform required security tasks associated with this position.
  • Applying working knowledge of security classification principles, access eligibility requirements, and the processes for granting, verifying, or maintaining personnel security clearances.
  • Supporting information, personnel, and physical security activities.
  • Assisting with inspections, incident reviews, and information-gathering activities that help ensure compliance with Navy security policies and mission-support requirements.
  • Evaluating factors such as facility layout, access controls, equipment availability, personnel roles, and other operational considerations that inform security recommendations and decision-making in a Navy environment.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Physical (PHYSEC), Industrial, Communications (COMSEC) Information (INFOSEC) or Personnel Security (PERSEC) in the DoD or IC.
  • Experience with ICD-705 compliance or similar security compliance documentation.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
