Floater Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant - Public Finance
Our client, a well-established Houston-area law firm, is seeking an experienced Floater Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant to support its Public Finance practice. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while providing high-level administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a variety of responsibilities both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, revise, and finalize legal correspondence and documents, including proofreading, editing, and redlining
  • Track, record, and enter attorney billable time accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys with varying practice needs
  • Manage document organization and maintain electronic files within the firm's document management system
  • Coordinate and prioritize a dynamic workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm setting
  • Prior experience supporting both litigation and corporate attorneys required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with Workshare Compare/Litera and NetDocuments (or similar document management systems)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Texas real property filings (CSC ePrepare), Texas Secretary of State filings/searches (SOSDirect), and Texas Comptroller systems (eSystems) is a plus
