The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus-eligible.
CNO Financial Group's 40|86 Advisors are hiring a Sr. Investment Operations Analyst to assist in the development and adherence of controls within the Investment Operations group and assist in the certain investment operations processes. This role will provide direct support to mid-level business or functional leaders of 40|86 Advisors and is also responsible for identifying process improvements and value-added project work while maintaining business continuity and timely reporting. This work also requires regular interaction with 40|86/CNO senior leaders and internal/external auditors.
This is your opportunity to exercise significant judgment, quality documentation, and strong communication skills within a SOX audit-controlled environment.
As a Sr. Investment Operations Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring SOX key controls are adhered to, and designing and implementing new internal controls as needed.
  • Working with internal and external auditors regarding Investment Operation internal controls and substantiative testing work.
  • Interfacing with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, and broker dealers in support of investment decisions.
  • Detailed analytical and evaluative review of investment data.
  • Fixed Income and Option trade processing.
  • Mortgage loan set-up and payment processing.
  • Collateral review and processing.

The Sr. Investment Operations Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:
  • Have knowledge of financial and investment principles and practices.
  • Have strong business acumen, analysis skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can excel with new, complex, and evolving tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are proficient with MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Oracle BI.
  • Are familiar with investment systems such as Bloomberg and WSO Markit.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Understanding of and prior experience with SOX internal controls.
