Job description

At Aylo Health, we work together to enrich the health and well-being of every life we touch. Our mission is to make quality healthcare simple and convenient. Because healthy people can do amazing things!

We offer a work environment that values the creation of lifelong relationships, while also providing opportunities for growth and career development. We strive to care for each other with the same passion with which we care for our patients. Aylo Health offers competitive pay to team members who provide high-quality care, while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Position Summary

Aylo Health is seeking a Manager, Strategic Finance & Operations to serve as a strategic business partner to the Chief Operating Officer, with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Financial Officer. Operating at the intersection of finance and operations, this role turns data into decisions by building the analytical foundation for how the practice staffs its clinics, compensates providers, measures business-line performance, and evaluates growth opportunities. The position will spend most of its time supporting the COO and operations leadership team, while drawing on finance for methodology, data, and rigor.

This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership. It is well suited for an analytically strong professional who is equally comfortable building financial models and participating in clinic operations discussions, and who can translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for a non-financial audience.

Organizational Context

Aylo Health is a primary care physician practice operating 16 primary care clinics, 3 imaging centers, and a sleep lab across the Atlanta metropolitan area, with approximately 100 providers and more than 600 total employees. The practice runs on eClinicalWorks (EHR/practice management), Sage Intacct (accounting), and Salesforce (patient outreach and portal).

Reporting Relationship

This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Financial Officer. The role works closely with and supports the COO and operations leadership team. This position has no direct reports at the time of hiring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business-line performance analysis: Produce recurring performance reports and KPI scorecards across business lines, including primary care, imaging, and sleep; analyze volume, productivity, payer mix, and profitability; and provide clear variance and root-cause commentary.
  • Business-line expansion: Build pro formas and business cases to evaluate new or expanded service lines, quantifying investment requirements, returns, and risks.
  • Footprint expansion: Support market and demand modeling, capacity planning, and financial feasibility for new locations.
  • Professional staffing model: Build and maintain staffing and productivity models for physicians (MD/DO), advanced practice providers (APPs), and radiologic technologists, aligning provider capacity with patient demand, access targets, and financial objectives.
  • Support staffing model: Model support-staff coverage and ratios for medical assistants, front desk staff, and the patient contact center against volume, patient access, and service-level targets.
  • Compensation model: Develop, analyze, and help execute provider and staff compensation models, including productivity- and value-based components; test scenarios; and quantify the financial impact of design changes.
  • Ad hoc analysis: Respond to analytical requests from the COO, CFO, and operations leaders with accurate, timely, decision-ready work products.
  • Data, dashboards, and storytelling: Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that increase transparency and accountability; structure results to tell a clear, actionable story for executive and operational audiences.
  • Presentation materials: Prepare unit-level and executive-level business review materials for operations leadership.
General Traits & Qualifications
  • Strong business acumen and financial fluency, with the ability to build and interpret models, financial statements, and profitability analyses.
  • Genuine interest in or experience with operations, with comfort engaging directly with clinic and operations leaders.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills required; Power BI or Tableau experience preferred; SQL querying and database management experience valued.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard development, KPI and scorecard design, forecasting, predictive analytics, statistical analysis, variance analysis, and root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to non-financial stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, problem-solving orientation.
  • Familiarity with using large language model (LLM) tools to automate and streamline analytical work is a plus.
Healthcare Analytics (preferred, not required)

A healthcare background, particularly in physician-practice operations, is highly valued but not required; a strong analyst from an adjacent industry can learn the domain. Relevant exposure includes provider productivity, patient access metrics, revenue cycle analytics, payer-mix analysis, population health and quality-measure reporting, value-based care analytics, referral management, and clinical staffing productivity. Familiarity with core operations metrics, including office visits, average encounter value (AEV), no-show rates, referral leakage, and lab turnaround time, is a plus.

Systems Experience (preferred)

Preferred experience includes eClinicalWorks, Salesforce, Dayforce, Greenhouse, Tableau or Power BI, and a financial ERP system such as Sage Intacct or a comparable platform.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or a related quantitative field required; master's degree, MBA, or MHA preferred.
  • Generally, 3–10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, decision support, strategic finance/FP&A, healthcare analytics, or operations analysis. A demonstrated track record in a closely related role may substitute for years of experience at the lower end of the range.
  • Healthcare experience preferred; CPA, CMA, BI, or SQL certifications are a plus.

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, GA

Employment Type: Full-time

Benefits: Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
