What is an assistant captain?

Assistant Captains are leadership roles, typically in sports teams, maritime operations, or other group settings, who support the team or group captain. They help with administrative duties, motivate team members, and often fill in for the captain when needed. Assistant Captains are expected to lead by example, communicate effectively, and foster a positive environment. Their responsibilities can vary based on the specific organization or context.
