Job description

Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
The Senior Buyer oversees the procurement operations helpdesk, answers procurement-related inquiries from internal associates and suppliers. This role is responsible for managing service requests, providing system training, executing orders with suppliers under existing contracts, and resolving procurement process issues following the company's procurement standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to tickets, and emails within established SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Escalate complex issues and track them to resolution.
  • Support users through the requisition to order process.
  • Track helpdesk metrics and identify process improvements.
  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements
  • Create purchase requisition /PO changes for new contracts/amendments
  • Provide support for warehouse replenishment orders and physical inventory audits
  • Support software orders

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Purchasing OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Purchasing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Coupa
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills
  • Understanding of contract terms and financial commitments

Preferred Area of Experience: Indirect Materials Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
License or Certification Type: ISM- CPSM Preferred
Preferred Skill(s): Excel proficiency, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
