Qualifications:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • New Jersey School Business Administrator Certification, Certificate of Eligibility, or minimum requirements to obtain certification (preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (preferred).
  • Prior audit experience or employment in a school business office (preferred).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an accounting related field.
  • Understanding the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements.
  • Knowledge of accepted business practices, laws and regulations governing school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, purchasing, transportation, facilities, food services, and grants.
  • Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and payroll systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve, set goals, work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
