Job description

  • Caring for children who are ages 18mos-6 years old
  • Assist Teacher to create a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
  • Employing a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
  • Observing each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
  • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Track children’s progress and report to parents on BrightWheel App
  • Communicate with parents regularly on BrightWheel App (Texting with parents, plus posting videos & photos of daily activities).
  • Applicant should have a firm interest in developmentally appropriate practices
  • Applicant should have some core units of Early Childhood Education

Home Sweet Home Preschool and Toddler Discovery Center provides the highest quality early childhood education for children ages 18 months to five years. Our curriculum is play-based and focuses on the development of the whole child. Our campus has three buildings and we provide care for 66 children and we have 20 staff members. Our Preschool curriculum integrates art, music, physical education, language, math, and science through play in a safe, warm, and loving environment. Our teachers guide your children as they grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically – all while preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond. Our Toddler Discovery Center offers play-based developmental activities for busy and growing toddlers – with lots of hugs and plenty of time to make new friends. The Toddler Center is a wonderful alternative and financially sensible option over traditional daycare or in-home childcare. Our certified early childhood education teachers follow the development and curriculum guidelines from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Home Sweet Home Preschool offers: 5 Weeks of Holiday Vacation, 1 Week of Sick & Kaiser Medical Insurance
