Position Summary

The Bookkeeper supports day-to-day accounting functions for multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in managing accounting tasks, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency while contributing to a growing, dynamic team. This is an in-office role.

What you will do
  • Record daily financial transactions for multiple clients
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll processing and payroll reports
  • Prepare basic financial reports for review by senior staff
  • Organize and maintain client accounting records
  • Assist with month-end close activities
  • Communicate with clients to obtain missing documentation

Requirements

  • Post Secondary Education in accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2-4 years of public accounting experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online
  • Payroll Experience including ROE’s, T4’s, Payroll Remittances
  • Experience with Month End Closings
  • Skilled in Spreadsheets and ERP Systems
  • Direct client-facing experience requesting missing documentation, managing multiple engagements, and communicating about reconciliations and payroll items
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Eligible to work in Canada
