Under the supervision of the manager, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant assists the OT in the delivery of treatment and contributes to the assessment process. The COTA provides documentation of treatment, participates in discharge planning, performs administrative duties, participates in PI, pursues professional growth, assists with student education, oversees the work of aides, volunteers and students, and when need arises will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Job Summary and Qualifications*1 year acute care experience preferred. What qualifications you will need:
  • National Certification by NBCOT and BLS certification from AHA or ARC required within 3 months of hire.
  • Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • No experience required.
  • Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate with patients using auditory Input and Output.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
