Job description

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Risk Assessment Subject Matter Expert to support the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in the execution of its mission, including providing technical, programmatic management, environmental planning and logistics support services. This full-time on-site position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Functions:

  • Integration support activities including assessing and recommending workflow processes to distinguish between the activities required to manage NNSA-HQ activities with those required to manage projects in the field.
  • Provide a liaison between NNSA Offices/Programs, other department offices and outside organizations.
  • Relevant expertise and roles and responsibilities, with an emphasis of communications, coordination and integration with US Navy activities.
  • Provide qualification requirements and testing advisement; develop a program qualification and testing database; coordinate NNSA policy in the Qualification Working Group; participate in MRS coordination and planning
  • Participate as a member on Technology Realization Teams and Product Realization Teams for components and sub-systems as assigned. Provide status of TRT/PRT activities, issues, accomplishments, and risks.
  • Demonstrated ability sufficient to assess and provide program and technical management knowledge and capabilities to advise FPO on execution of cost, scope, and schedule for major system acquisitions, and to represent, within program guidance, the NNSAโ€™s program interests and positions in interactions with other agencies and corporate entities.
  • Participate in Program Meetings to include Product Realization Team (PRT) meetings.
  • Contribute to or lead assessments of current and needed capability and capacity of the NNSA weapons production complex for the W93 Program and recommend necessary facility and resource planning based on this information.
  • Coordinate FPO Program and Technical Management products and deliverables.
  • Assist with FPO Organization structuring and Roles and Responsibilities.
  • Track and manage Defense Programs, DoD, and Congressional actions and inquires.
  • Provide programmatic interface with DoD, Design Agencies and Production Agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ย Current, active DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance with ability to acquire SCI.
  • PhD from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 25 (25) years of government experience, including a minimum of seven (7) years of experience with NA-10/DP.
  • Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidateโ€™s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.ย  The salary range for this position is $305-315K.
