Job description

Position Overview

The Architectural Drafter will apply company drafting methods to produce production construction drawing sets. The Architectural Drafter will manage current production files updating and modifying the portfolio as needed. They will read and interpret existing plan sets to assist in converting MicroStation files to the BIM format. The Architectural Drafter will produce 3D models for presentation export and digital immersion packet.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of working construction drawing sets
  • Apply company drafting standards to all new and existing models
  • Work with department management to correct redline notes of production drawings
  • Apply all redline notes to master files
  • Maintain master files and modular files to current drafting methods and standards
  • Work with design team to update current portfolio and assist with new design input

Required Education:

  • Associates degree or higher in drafting or related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have 1-2 years of experience with Graphisoft ArchiCAD or Autodesk Revit software
  • 1-2 years of experience in residential construction
  • Experience with Plumbing, Electric or Mechanical designs are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and modify existing plans
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team atmosphere
